Puppy Application
Before completing a puppy application, please review the following:
- Our puppy price is $1500 regardless of sex, color, or purpose (pet/performance/show). It costs the same to whelp and raise each puppy and upcharging for show and performance prospects when those owners are going to be heavily investing in their dogs and promoting our breeding program seems unfair. Additionally, all of our puppies are pets first and foremost so it makes sense that everyone should pay pet price.
- The price of the puppy includes a health guarantee, contract, AKC registration, first vaccines, deworming, microchip, and the liftime support of a caring breeder.
- Any puppies not placed in show/breeding homes will be sold with a spay/neuter contract and a strictly enforced anti-breeding penalty. As responsible breeders, our goal is the improvement and preservation of the breed we love and because of that we have to be very selective when it comes to determining which dogs from our program have what it takes to further the breed. Additionally, any dog placed in a non-breeding home will be registered limited with AKC, meaning that offspring of that dog will not be eligible for AKC registration.
- We do not sell puppies to commercial breeders or anyone who plans to use them in mixed breeding projects, including purpose bred mixes for work or sports. We support preservation breeding of Rat Terriers and crossbreeding is aversive to that goal.
- We place puppies based on evaluations of temperament, structure, drive, and suitability for a specific home. We work with our families to make the best match possible to ensure our puppies will thrive in their new homes. Selections are made between 7-8 weeks. We do not allow anyone to choose thier puppy prior to that and as such we are unable to take requests for undocked puppies as that procedure has to be done within a few days of birth.
- We are willing to work with prospective buyers who have a preference for color, sex, or adult size. However, we do not make placement decisions based on color or markings and we cannot make any guarantees on adult size.
- We do not place puppies as service dog prospects.
